Founded by Heleen Malherbe in July 2017, Malherbe Publishers emerged from a personal mission to support poets and writers in bringing their visions to reality. Heleen, driven by a lifetime of literary passion and the wisdom of persistence, sought to create a nurturing space for writers navigating the challenging landscape between mainstream and self-publishing.

From the start, we embraced the philosophy of steady, deliberate growth. Inspired by the words of Josiah G. Holland, “There is no shortcut to anything of value. One thing at a time, one day at a time. What develops slowly has a greater chance of enduring,” we built a foundation of trust and excellence.

Today, Malherbe Publishers is proud to support over 200 writers and publish nearly 800 books. Our commitment extends beyond publishing; we provide a comprehensive support network for writers and poets in both Afrikaans and English, ensuring access to essential resources at reasonable costs. With the establishment of Malherbe Printers, we also offer on-demand printing, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accessibility.
