Publishing Services: Njabulo Publishers is a self-publishing entity established in 2003 by Thembinkosi
Mabaso, who is both a writer and illustrator. The company produces children’s books and youth novels.
The books are published in several South African languages, namely English, isiZulu and, recently, isiXhosa, Sesotho and Afrikaans. We aim to produce entertaining and engaging books that captivate the African child. Through the use of adventurous characters in books such as Gimba the Greedy Taxi, Njabulo Publishers are pioneering the children and youth literacy market with entertaining, contemporary and relevant books. Njabulo Publishers now boasts 36 titles, including translations, and will continue to develop and publish children’s books that are entertaining, engaging and educational.
