Purpose of the Job:    

 Macmillan Education South Africa is seeking to appoint an experienced professional to the position of Data & Sales Administrator. The successful incumbent will ensure quality and service standards within agreed SLAs and provide excellent service experience for all external and internal customers.

The incumbent will provide support to the Commercial stream of the SA operations through use of data analysis and efficient and accurate record keeping and administration.  Maintain existing and create new reports from SQL servers using advanced Excel skills for various departments in the Commercial stream.  Assisting with pricing schedules and tender submissions using logical and correct mathematical functions and be able to translate large excel datasets into readable formats.

The position will also manage all online and eBook orders and plays a key role to support eBook Aggregators and e-commerce customers

Requirements:          

  • Degree in Business Management or similar
  • Ability to work with large data sets
  • Minimum 3 years Administration and Data Analysis experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Proficiency – Advanced level
  • Microsoft Office – Advanced level
  • Experience working with ERP’s (SYSPRO is preferred)
  • Power BI (advantageous)
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver on multiple tasks assigned
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to accommodate extended hours of work when required

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support Commercial Sales, National Sales, and TVET teams with all pricing and data-related requests
  • Create essential reports such as pricing and sales comparisons reports, as well as customer spending analyses report, to support the Customer Services team in their operations.
  • Management and processing of Online and e-Book orders
  • Collaborating extensively with leaders across the Commercial Departments including Digital and Agency, Customer Services, Operations and Sales to successfully accomplish project objectives.
  • Providing support in developing the necessary materials for tender document preparation.
  • Managing administrative processes
  • Provide efficient customer service to internal stakeholders and colleagues within the company
